Our Universal Goal…The Mental Liberty of Our Children
May 13, 2007
Our parents and their colleagues achieved their universal goal of ensuring our basic civil rights. Much thanks to them, we generation x’ers posses the physical liberty to do what we want, when we want, pretty much how we want. Many of us have taken optimal advantage of these physical liberties, but quite a large number of us have not.
Those of us who have taken full advantage of our physical liberty were obviously able to gain the MENTAL liberty necessary to do so somewhere along the way. Those of us who have not taken advantage, apparently still lack the mental liberty or mental confidence to assume their proper position in our society. This inconsistent exercise of our physical liberties brings us to the universal goal of our generation – ensuring the MENTAL liberty of our children to empower them with the proper self-esteem and mental confidence necessary to take advantage of the physical liberties secured by their grandparents.
Our physical liberty was gained via physical means. Dr. Martin Luther King, Rev. Jesse Jackson, Rev. Al Sharpton, Mr. Huey Newton, Mr. Bobby Seale, Mr. Malcolm X et. al. secured our physical rights via non-violent and violent physical means – marching, rallying, sitting-in, boycotting, arming, threatening etc. Quite logically, we will be able to secure the mental liberty of the lost members of our generation and more importantly our children via mental/intellectual means. We must consistently demonstrate the intellectual equality and even the intellectual prowess of our race/culture as compared with other cultures. We must teach the young ones: how to deal with other members of our society with mental confidence; how to strip the ignorant of their influence by responding to them with intelligence instead of emotion; how to interpret the uniqueness of their culture as an asset instead of a liability; etc, etc. Basically, we must show them how to sit at the social, political and financial tables as full-fledged Americans without any remnants of the old slave mentality. We must teach them to minimize the fact that they we slaves for 300 years and maximize the fact that they were civilized human beings at least 3,700 years before any other culture on earth. We must teach them the African Origin of Civilization and exactly what that should do for their self-esteem. Then, we must teach them how to exercise that self-esteem in an honorable manner to get their piece of the American pie which they are entitled to. And once this goal of ours is reached, we can sit in our rocking chairs with smiles as wide as the Nile, watching them work. Until that time, we must continuously work. Peace, N. Mind Control: White Superiority-Black Inferiority Complexes Exposed
April 8, 2007
"Combine the power of thought and unadulterated HARD WORK to change your circumstances and perpetually elevate your person and your people." --N. Quamere Cincere
Don't blame individual American citizens who lack a hearty respect for African and African American culture for their ignorance. It’s not their fault. Our grossly unbalanced History curriculum is the culprit of the apparent cultural self-centeredness expressed so freely in our society. We were taught History from the European perspective and it has consequently skewed some peoples' perception of society and obviously reality.
The mental manipulation of European superiority-African inferiority that occurs from grades K-12 serves as the biased foundation on which an American citizen in 2007 can stand upon and make any direct or indirect eccentric assumption that one group of people are ‘better’ than another. Given the subliminal message of European superiority embedded in our History education, it is understandable how some Americans can 'drink the proverbial kool-aid' and maintain the belief that one specific American sub-culture is better than another.
See, the History curriculum failed and continues to fail to reveal the true FACTS of the History of Man. The History curriculum failed to tell you that the remains of the oldest humans and the oldest human civilization found to date were all discovered in North and East AFRICA, the Motherland of all humans. In fact, archeologists of old exercised a similar cultural self-centeredness and for scores of years refused to look to Africa as the birthplace of human civilization (look up Charles Dawson and the Piltdown Man). Unfortunately, this cultural pompousness only hampered the intellectual advancement of society as does any current unintelligent claims of cultural or racial superiority.
In order for us to advance our individual and collective culture(s), our History education needs to be balanced! Currently we are taught that the cultural achievements of Europeans are greater than the cultural achievements of Africans; and the cultural failures of Africans are greater than the cultural failures of Europeans. This erroneous perception creates a high expectation of European American success; low expectation of African American success; high expectation of African American failure; low expectation of European American failure. To correct the mental consequences of this skewed teaching more cultural achievements of Africans (particularly during the pre-European civilization period 5000 B.C. - ~1300 B.C.) and cultural failures/faults of Europeans must be added to the curriculum. That is the only way to properly balance History education and eliminate European superiority-African inferiority complexes in today's society.
Any explicit or concealed racial superiority-inferiority claims perpetuate unjustified complexes and instigate unnecessary friction between black-skinned and white-skinned members of the human race. The fact of the matter is all individual cultures exercised within the human race exhibit negative, embarrassing and uncivilized acts of humanity as well as positive, distinct and glorious acts of humanity. TRUE KNOWLEDGE OF SELF and full knowledge of the history of all cultures is the ultimate equalizer. I urge you to begin the proper balancing of your historical perceptions right away.
