Meet LoveLace
Tira Miller aka "Lovelace" mother of three boys and a lover of life and what it offers. I am a true Gemini, woman of many faces. I have been writing poetry and spoken word since I was a child and never dreamed that I would get to this position where I am publishing. I have had to work for everything that I have and what I want I will probably have to work even harder. Nothing in life is free if it doesn't cost money then it cost time. I consider myself an achiever not because I succeed but because I at least try.

Synopsis of Book
This book contains poetry and spoken word that will shock, captivate, and stir up the emotions of its readers. It breaks down thoughts and feelings of love, lust and everday events that a slot of people deal with. This book can be contro-versial to some and passionate to others. It is meant to be real and raw. The title of my book definitely says alot if you do not talk about what is happening in your head and in your heart; you are not fully accepting yourself and what you are feeling.

Interview with LoveLace
LoveLace was interviewed by Ella Curry, founder of Sankofa Literary Society days after she was chosen as a SLS Poet Laureate. Read more to further understand the woman behind the Power of Poetry.
[EDC]: How did you come up with the title?
[LoveLace]: This was the simplest thing for me choosing a title and it is as simple as this. Poetry is Power-- it is one of many ways to envoke emotion in its readers. The second part If Not Spoken Then It Won't Be Heard, people everyday have thoughts and desires that they are so afraid to share. These very thoughts may make them in life, enhance there relationships or change someone elses outlook but if never said then it means nothing and nothing will happen.
[EDC]: How much of the book is realistic?
[LoveLace]: My whole entire book is probably one of the most realistic books you will ever read. It is about real emotions and life encounters.
[EDC]: Are there any new authors that have grasped your interest?
[LoveLace]: There are several up and coming authors that have my interest. I recently completed a book debut with the author of Fallen Diva (Tiffany Wright). Our theme was peotry meets suspense. It turned out to be a great collaboration and I plan on doing others with diffrent authors.
[EDC]: What do you think makes a good story?
[LoveLace]: How great a story is is soley based on its reader. That is what makes writing so unique you will not grab everyone all the time but if you grab some people some of the time then you are doing well. Writing what you consider a good story dosen't make it good.
[EDC]: Do you see writing as a career?
[LoveLace]: At this point in my life I do. Finishing this first book really made me see my nitch. It takes time and alot of energy to get yourself to the point of being a full time writer but this is definitly a goal.
[EDC]: Do you have to travel much concerning your book(s)?
[LoveLace]: Yes as much as I can as often as I can. Due to the fact that I am a self published author, my book being seen is majority based on how much I show it.
[EDC]: Any final tips or advice for the readers?
[LoveLace]: Success means hard work! I have had to work for everything that I have and what I want. I will probably have to work even harder to become all I want in life. Nothing in life is free if it doesn't cost money then it surely will cost time. I consider myself an achiever not because I succeed but because I at least try. I want all new authors and my readers to keep their heads up and keep dreaming and keep putting forth the effort to succeed. Nothing beats an all out campaign to fulfill your dreams.
My Thoughts of You
I’m awake….are you?
Though we are not in the same space
But yet the same time I can feel your eyes
Wide Open……
I hear the unspoken thoughts through
Your high and low pitches
That hides thoughts to soon to release….
Is it unbearable yet?
Time dictates nothing but growth
Never emotions
Be it days or months even
The fact still remains that time draws us closer.
The connection gave a slow burn from day one
Day two it began to flicker as the hot breezes
That blew through our conversation gave it
The oxygen that it needed
Now we are heated……
We lace ourselves with thoughts to cool the
Evident blaze…Is it working?
I am not inclined to give an answer not sure
If I really want to ……is it too soon?
To soon to mentally manipulate myself into your thought pattern
As you are in mine.
Too soon to fantasize frantically of you and I in a slow grind….
Is there a chance?
I can’t sleep
My mental burns even through my night eyes
Are you surprised?
I am, trying to process the craziness that is dwelling
On my dome like….what would you do
If I mentally teleported myself to stand right in front of you
Bear from the soul though fully clothed
While my eyes connect with yours and tell you the story…
That you already know…
Then stand there and wait for your response
This is the scary part…
Are we on the same page or have I jumped to many chapters
In not enough days…..
How do you control the blaze?
Why do I feel so connected to you in so many ways?
I am hazed…high off of the possibilities
High off of the mentally feeling that you give me.
I can’t sleep….
You have invaded my day and my night moments
I just don’t know
If I want you to let them go.
