Shaundra R. McCants
You

I want to see the road you've walked down,
Taste the sweetness of your tears,
Sip on the wine that your lips provide,
While dancing in the shadow of your fears.
I'd stay awake a thousand lonely nights,
To spend one hour with you.
Without weapons I’d fight the demons in your soul.
My love if only you knew...
I'd trade places with Atlas to hold your world on my shoulders.
Tantalus, to be teased by you and never quenched.
I'd fight in the Trojan War and launch a thousand vessels.
For you are the only reason why I exist.

Taste Of You
I want a taste of you,
the juicy you, the sweet you
the you that tickles mind, body and soul.

I want a taste of you
the tender you, the charming you
the you that melt, tame and conquer. .

I want a taste of you
the funny you, the silly you
the you that burns laughter through me

I want a taste of you
the strong you, the understanding you
the you that helps forge who I am.

I want a taste of you
the freaky you, the sexy you
the you that curls my toes forwards or backwards.

I want a taste of you
the simple you, the calming you
the you that soothes in bad weather.

I want a taste of you
the gentle you, the kind you
the you that strokes me slowly to sleep.

I want a taste of you,
because of who you are, what you do
and so you know, here's my heart

Taste Me.

One Day

He said
“One day I will hold you in my arms
And you will fall asleep.
Then when you wake,
I will still be holding you.”
She smiled
A tear fell from her right eye
That warm feeling filled her again
Like it does every time
She looks at his smiling face
Or his forest green eyes
Or holds his hand tightly like a child
Afraid to cross the street alone
That thumping of her heart took her over
Like it does every time
She feels his strong arms holding her safely
Or feels his lips brush against hers
Or his breath on her neck when they embrace
With his voice whispering how much he loves her
She stared up into those deep eyes
The candlelight dancing across them both
As they cling to each other for
Those last couple of seconds
Before they are swept away
Back into the life of fluorescent lights
And parents and jobs
And of all that try to keep
The two of them apart
Gently, she reaches up and brushes her fingers
Across his soft cheek
He leans his head towards her hand
Holding on to her tightly
Another tear falls from her eye
And a soft smile forms on her lips
“One day,” she said softly, her voice cracking
His arms went around her tighter
Holding as if he would never let her go
“One day” he said
One day…

My Fantasy

Let me control your mind
As we imagine
Picturing my fantasy
Picture it, you with me
Atop a silk cover spread
As you lay face down on the bed
Rose petals adorn the pillow
Where you lay your head
Candles light our path
To the Jacuzzi where you bathe
Oils cooling slowly
From the massage I just gave
Outside you see the water
Making its way up the sand
Close to the footprints we made
As we walked and held hands
Watching the sunset in bliss
Sharing that sentimental kiss
Spending time in the Bahamas
For weeks like this
But as you lie face down bare
I place a kiss on your back
My tongue runs up your spine
And back down this time
As I straddle your back
You can feel me growing
This night is becoming passionate
You are already moaning
Showing
That you want me to take you
I will, knowing
That my love will shake you
Then take you
On that Cloud nine ride
Without any drugs
My love makes you high
As I leave your mind
I want you to do this
Tell me your fantasy
Starting with this kiss
(Muah)
