The Sankofa Literary Society Article Submission Process
The Sankofa Literary Society is always looking for original, well-written articles that help authors, writers and readers evaluate and learn more about the publishing world. We welcome submissions from all readers and authors.
If you have an article idea, please contact Sankofa Literary Society submissions editor at sankofaliterarysociety@yahoo.com. We will contact you for further details as necessary. Visit our site often to stay abreast of new articles posted to the group.
Your initial submission should include:
- A brief (five-line) summary of the article(s) you're proposing. Articles submitted without first following the steps outlined on this page will be not reviewed.
- The projected article length (our articles generally run between 1,000 and 10,000 words, not including sample code).
- Your target category, name at least two places you would like the article listed.
(Fiction, non-fiction, news and events, current affairs or book reviews.)
- The audience your piece would address (writers, readers, artist, or publicists and so on).
- A statement indicating that you have are giving us rights to publish this article on the web.
- Please include your complete contact information, website address, credentials, books and covers, biography and any other media information.
We give careful consideration to all submissions based on originality, appropriateness for Sankofa Literary Society scope, your writing style in the submission, and our current scheduling. Several content strategists will review your proposed article topic and it may take several weeks before we can give you a decision on your posting.
Due to various limitations, we can't always use every good article idea that authors propose, we would love to but space does not permit. If we aren't able to use your article, we recommend that you pursue submitting to our Write With Vision site, the site openly welcomes readers and writers http://groups.msn.com/WriteWithVisionPromotionsWorkshops, and post the article yourself. Join our community and post away!
